"As Time Goes By"

Carmen really didn't know she was being recorded. She relaxes at the piano - but does get a little more tired than she once did.

In Concert

...playing for the seniors group at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hickory, NC...she used to be a pianist in a dance band out of Charlotte and traveled the Carolinas...

A little about Carmen

At 5'10", she was too tall to be on stage, but loved the theater, performing and visual arts and playing the piano. Her mother, Elizabeth, was a concert pianist, composer and piano teacher. She studied at the Chicago Musical College.

So my mom grew up around music. My grandmother played classical, but my mom combined her ability to read notes and play by ear to be able to play the songs you can listen to here. Enjoy!

Volunteer

For more than 20 years, Carmen has volunteered with the Adult Life Center in Conover. She gives an hour-long concert each month - and has provided craft materials for the staff and seniors to use.
