Carmen Lint Paints Political Candidates' Faces on Pumpkins

Her daughter, Greta Lint, promotes festivals. This particular one was the Crossroads PumpkinFest in Statesville, North Carolina. The event featured a pumpkin chunkin' with trebuchets hurling the orange ball sometimes hundreds of feet. The distance indicated who won and lost.

A media preview, "The Great Heads of State Exit Poll" was held prior to the event and poked fun at the 2008 election. Pumpkins were painted with the faces of local, state and national candidates. The pumpkins which were hurled were painted by students in a local art class. They also learned a little about civics.

Here, Carmen paints the 2008 presidential candidates' faces on pumpkins. No, these were not hurled. These are priceless.
